i've got everything to lose if i let go.

but i may lose everything and more if i do that.
so i ask, 'what am i supposed to do?'
and the reply is one of confusion and frustration.
a resounding 'i don't know'.
not a good situation to be in.
but i'm willing to take that risk either way.
